11) "Daddy Long Legs," are fatally venomous, they just can't bite you.
12) Vaccines cause autism.
A study published by Oxford Academic concluded:
Twenty epidemiologic studies have shown that neither thimerosal nor MMR vaccine causes autism. These studies have been performed in several countries by many different investigators who have employed a multitude of epidemiologic and statistical methods. The large size of the studied populations has afforded a level of statistical power sufficient to detect even rare associations. These studies, in concert with the biological implausibility that vaccines overwhelm a child’s immune system, have effectively dismissed the notion that vaccines cause autism. Further studies on the cause or causes of autism should focus on more-promising leads.
In short, there is SO much we don’t know about autism. Yet, perhaps the only thing we actually DO know, is that it’s not caused by vaccines.
Please vaccinate your children.
13) Drinking Mountain Dew makes men sterile.
14) MSG is bad for you.
MSG has caught a really bad rap over the years. But several reputable scientific studies have been unable to find any consistent evidence of MSG causing conclusively negative symptoms in subjects! Even when a small subset of subjects did show consistently negative reactions, it was only after ingesting way more MSG than one would ever normally consume in a meal, even if you really pigged out.
So, basically, anything in excess can make you sick, even water. But in general, MSG is not all that bad for you, in fact, some scientists believe it’s actually good for you. Furthermore, MSG is not just an ingredient in Chinese food; it’s naturally found in tomatoes and cheese, so unless you’re a miserable human being who hates Chinese Food AND pizza, it’s time to get onboard the MSG train and stop blaming “Chinese Food Syndrome” for your tummy troubles. You knew you shouldn’t have had that last egg roll.
