Do you remember this childhood dilemma?

Two options at nap time:

  1. Kid goes down obediently.
  2. Kid fusses, and dad says, “See, you’re tired.”

    3. Kid throws a stubborn tantrum, rattling his crib rails like jail bars, yelling like he’s been imprisoned in Alcatraz, etc., and dad says, “See, you’re really, really tired…and quite the drama king.”

Yes, there is that. I sort of lumped that into #2, but “fusses” is a bit of an understatement, you’re right.

I can’t say I really understand this one. Anger and irritability aren’t necessarily signs of tiredness.
