So, are we watching “Changing Lanes” this weekend? ![]()
I agree that iTunes movie rentals are overpriced. Amazon Unbox is too expensive as well. My wife and I use Redbox (and formerly DVDXpress) because their rentals are only $1. I wish iTunes would follow suit.
Let’s not forget the role of the movie companies when it comes to pricing. Even though their production costs are reduced, they still want the same (see also, “more”
profit coming in. I don’t think that Apple or Amazon are mainly to blame for the prices.
They should be cheaper than they are. I’d pay $.99 or $1.99 like Redbox since I get the same “watching period.” But these are awfully convenient. What would you guys pay?
Do comments have to be 22 words or less?
Yes–I suppose the pricing isn’t all Apple’s fault.
All I’m saying is that, whoever’s fault it is, it’s odd.
Gotcha. The first offering, The Hours, was awful. Still, what do you think is reasonable?
I think a dollar is reasonable.
It’s enough to make the powers-that-be rich, but for most of us consumers, it’s pretty close to negligible.
I’m probably just being crotchety about all this, though.
