Public radio needs a new angle. Why do they pretend there’s no competition?

It rings hollow when donor-funded stations raise money by saying they’re the only or best place for us to find commercial-free music.

    I would guess the amount of $$ raised during “share-a-thon” would be the indicator of whether they are the “only” or “best”, right?

    Which station are you referring to? If it’s a specific kind it might be true. Is there another new jazz station now?

    The competition is not another station. It’s the infinite free choices we have online.
