My intelligence is not a very good measure of value or quality.

If I insist on understanding something before I’ll let myself think it’s good, then almost everything will be ruled out, including God.

    Amen. I couldn’t have given any intellectually satisfying answers about the how’s and why’s of the gospel when I started believing. I just knew that Jesus was good and good for me. I trusted that the answers would eventually fall into place.

    If I insist on COMPLETELY understanding something before I’ll let myself think it’s good, then almost everything will be excluded, including God.

    Good thought for those who over analyze and take it to the extreme! I would offer some balance, mainly that it is an exercise of wisdom to use caution, competent judgment, and just good sense!
