heheh! that is what I currently do in facebook and really feel very-very boring… though I have about 30 friends in a friend list they always appear to be off-line when I am in..so pity…

LOL. I love the surprise of your blog…sometimes deep an insightful, sometimes like an episode of Seinfeld…just about every day life.

I’m one of those people who would never deny a friend request as long as I know them. People pleaser.

And apps, it so depends on what it is. As a Christian and someone who works with teens, I feel a great deal of responsibility regarding what I put out there and what I place my approval on for myself.

Thanks for making us think about even the every day stuff!

one way to be a little less plain and boring :)
is to add your blog feed to your FB Notes – that way it looks like you’re adding stuff with minimal effort.

Let’s see, are you friends with Owen Runion? He’s got over 530 friends. And even though he’s not “boring” his status is “bored” right now.

Question:

Should the emphasis (as denoted by the italics) be on the word “plain” or “boring” in the last sentence? Normally it would seem straightforward, but when I say that sentence in my head, I hear myself going, “…then I would just be plain boring.” The idea is that you can be boring on facebook, or you can be just plain *boring*. (My guess is I’m subconsciously assigning emphasis to the last part of both clauses, “on facebook” and “boring,” rather than emphasising facebook boring vs. plain boring)

Hmm, when AP became my friend I thought “he must have only approved me for certain details, which makes sense because he doesn’t really know me.”

I guess this is better. But there was a certain allure when I thought there was all sorts of exciting stuff I couldn’t see. Always leave ‘em wanting more, that’s what I say.

What about never changing anything on your profile? Does anyone ever look at anyone’s profile unless they’re a new friend?

My sister’s in college and says she has friends who spend over 20 hrs/week on FB. My self-righteousness immediately kicks in, then I wonder how much time I spend reading blogs.
