It’s sometimes hard to write this blog, but not always in the way I thought it would be.

The difficult thing about writing these posts isn’t always distilling ideas into 22 words. Sometimes it’s doubling 11-word ideas without diluting them.

For me its hard to get an idea never mind how many words its in!
Love what your doing on 22words!
Come on…give us an example of an 11-word thought!!!
And…it’s phrases like “distilling ideas” that schools your readers in the economy and precision of word choice.
Or, “It’s sometimes hard to write this blog using just 22 words, without cramming 22 more words in the post title.”
Just out of interest: Would you refrain from posting a thought, simply because it could not be expressed in 22 words?
How about stealing some words from your lenthy titles?! *wink*
Make that “lengthy”.
How about this? I’ll start a blog called 11 words, you can send me your ideas, and I’ll post them as mine? (word count – 22)

You haven’t figured out his secret? If this happens, he just writes it on Molly’s blog or Desiring God and links to it.

You could rename the blog to:
“This one goes to 11.”
I tried posting with just 22 words. It’s harder than one might think.

OK, I’m back. Couldn’t respond to comments yesterday because I was at a ball game.
Robin asked for an 11-word thought. This one isn’t huge, but it’s something I’ve been more and more convinced of recently:
“Keeping paragraphs 5 lines or less will always improve web writing.”

If an idea simply can’t be summed up, then I will say something about it, rather than addressing it as a whole.
Also, I’m open to lists of 22, so that gives some freedom.
Re: Title length,
My rule with titles is no longer than 3 lines on my screen.
