Dollar-store party balloons show Orison what it means to lose something forever.
Death is too abstract for Orison, but inadvertently releasing Felicity’s birthday balloons—that’s concrete.

God bless you, brother. You have effectively touched and melted my heart this morning. May God continue to heal and comfort and bring joy in Him.
Thank you for sharing.
My brother lost his 4 year old son Oct 15th, 2006. Today, they release their balloons at graveside, too.

Were you able to successfully console him?
I agree with Gavin. Before those of us who have had no serious loss in the last few years, may God bless The Pipers and Wes’s brother’s family.
And Abraham: Awesome pictures.
This is beautiful in its simplicity. Sometimes you really only need 22 words.
Last year our community and a neighbouring town lost two young women in a car crash. At the funeral each person was given a balloon to release but, before we could release them together, two little kids accidentally lost theirs. It was moving to see the two balloons floating away above the hundred others. Reminded us that two have gone before but eventually we’re all going.
Blessings on all you Pipers, both gone and remaining.
how hard it is, watching brothers grieve the loss of the little sister they never knew, never held, never touched, but loved so much!
My prayer goes out to you and your family. May God of peace strengthen you and your family. Psalm 77.
Thank you for sharing what God is doing in your life. I love seeing God at work!
“Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
9 Who keeps our soul among the living,
And does not allow our feet to be moved.
10 For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
11 You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
12 You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.” (Psalm 66:8-12. NKJV.)
For His glory,
Brook
loss can come in so many forms and is hard in all of them. we know that even when we’re barely out of toddlerhood. i’m so glad we have Jesus, “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.”
God Bless you all.
Too poignant for words. God’s blessings on you and your sweet family.
*speechless*
