That was adorable.

I wonder if it could be impressed upon Orison that the occasional spanking actually is a mercy. I know, he'll figure that out later, like in his 20's, heheh.

Don't forget about the silent but deadly buttock pinch should you need it, it works great when spanking may be less than prudent, like in public places. With our kids, after a few pinchings we rarely had to go past the "1..2...3" countdown ever again.

Spanking is cruel. There are other methods of modifying your child behavior. If you spank your child then you are teaching your child to hit their own children and not to communicate effectively and share a loving bond. Can you see how this is getting out of hand. Its really cruel, No joke. Larry Clockwant

Ahh..look at that boy's face: Looks like an argument FOR spanking to me!

not long after recently teaching our Ukrainian adoptee sons the game mercy (holding hands with someone and both people twisting till one of the players gives in and yells "Mercy!") one of the boys acted up.

My husband explained to our four-year-old that despite the fact that he deserved a spanking, Daddy would be showing him mercy today.
"Nooo! I don't want mercy!" Yelled our little guy and he quickly hid both hands behind his back!

I love how kids point out the obvious. This story reminds me of something I saw once where the kids were being asked how to get to heaven. After several answers involving things like clean your room, obey your parents, etc...one kids just simply replied, "die". This story is equally funny!

Hey...FYI...if those are old toys, they are a chocking hazard. All the old fisher price little people were removed from the market because kids were chocking to death on them, that's why all the people got fat. Just the mom coming out in me...this happened about the time my kids were very small, and my oldest is 22...how appropiate for 22 words! LOL

Otherwise, Orison is right! Hope they don't start making them with hands.
