It wouldn’t surprise me if there were many readers of your blog that read one of my favorite blogs, Amy’s Humble Musings (http://humblemusings.com)

Amy is an excellent communicator through her words, loves her role as a mother and wife, cherishes her children, and points others to Christ.

YS Marko – Mark Oestricher’s blog. He works making Christian youthwork books available, and updates daily or more often.

    http://www.ysmarko.com/

Travis Seitler writes in a funny way.

    http://travis.webseitler.com/

The cartoon blog. Not as often updated as it used to be, but sometimes quite good.

    http://www.cartoonchurch.com/blog/

The Stuff Christians like blog. V. funny.
    http://stufffchristianslike.blogspot.com/

The ongoing adventures of ASBO Jesus.
    http://asbojesus.wordpress.com/

A daily (usually daily) cartoon strip about churchy things. Provocative and with interesting discussion.

(NB in Britain an ASBO is an AntiSocialBehaviourOrder, which you get for being naughty, iffy, young or all three.)

    Yoghurt
    http://christinedeweerd.blogspot.com/

An art blog with lots of interesting pictures. This used to be in Dutch, but now it’s gone English.

    Shaun Groves

Analogical Thoughts, a blog by my pal from Scotland, James Anderson. James has two (2!) PhDs, in computing and systematic theology. He’s about to move his family to the US and begin teaching theology at Reformed Theo Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He’s an excellent teacher — good at making the complicated simple. And he’s got the driest sense of humor of anyone I’ve ever known:

    brazilnut72 says:

    http://na-dache.blogspot.com/

I have never met the author personally–met his wife once at a Shepherd’s Conference. He and I have had some great correspondence, however, and his blog is great. He is not a frequent poster, but his posts are always enjoyable.

  16. 16

You mean besides my own blog??? ;)

The one that IMMEDIATELY came to mind is one I discovered just yesterday, {dancing} in the margins. Her header is stunning; so are her words. She commented to a post of mine, so I followed her back, was absolutely SMITTEN, so I told her. It was sweet blessing to find out she’s been a lurker at my blog for a while…and FINALLY decided to come out of the closet.

    She’s that good: http://dancinginthemargins.typepad.com/dancinginthemargins/

The other blog that came to mind is Written Inc. Carmi is a Canadian journalist, and he sees life through the lens of his heart. One of the most thoughtful and considerate commentors in my tribe.

    http://writteninc.blogspot.com/

  17. 17

BTW, I’ve already clicked through to a bunch of these recommendations, and I’ve gotta say…DANG IT!! MORE blogs to add to my reader?

    I shall never sleep again.

    rachel says:

let me second “stuff christians like” hilarious, thought-provoking, and even convicting. and that’s just the reader comments :D

one of my all-time favs: THE RABBIT ROOM.

    http://www.rabbitroom.com

it’s written by a smorgasboard of all kinds of wonderful, thoughtful, creative people. they review books and music, write interesting anecdotes of daily life, hash through the hard stuff, keep me entertained, and rip open my heart with conviction or thanksgiving. i have added more than a handful of books and cds to my need-to-buy list because of their efforts.

it’s pretty amazing. (except for the fact that they don’t allow the whole feed into my reader).

    Sean B. says:

    I’d highly recomend:

    http://www.lovelylisting.blogspot.com

It’s by a lady who collects weird, strange, and unusual real-estate listings. Such as a house that’s being sold and the only picture is of a patch of grass on the back lawn that’s covered in rusty metal. Or the picture is taken through a peekhole in the door. Very funny and it only takes a second to read!

  47. 47
    Phoebe says:

One of my friends is Bahai, and in researching that faith I found this blog:

    http://everymornandeve.wordpress.com/

Gorgeous photos with quotes from Bahai writings.

Bahai is a beautiful religion, but it lacks Jesus. It lacks the paradox of truth and grace in God’s forgiveness of sin. It lacks the joy of being intimate with God through Jesus Christ, being his child, and servant, and lover.

  48. 48
    Phoebe says:

Oh, and someone already mentioned it, but http://alirae.net/ is a moving blog by a girl who works as a nurse overseas. It is such a blessing!

  49. 49
    Jesse Hines says:

    Get Rich Slowly

    http://getrichslowly.org/blog

It’s a great daily reminder to me to stay responsible with my personal finances, written by an everyday guy taking charge of his financial life.

    blog maverick

    http://blogmaverick.com/

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban writes about entrepreneurship, business, investing, personal finances, politics, sports–it’s a great window into the mind of a highly successful and accomplished man.

    Inspiring.

As far as other people’s blogs go, I recently came across Preaching Today and have been edified by what I have read. I’m assuming as it is only new to me that maybe you’ve not heard of it either.

Brendan Nyhan’s blog about politics at http://www.brendan-nyhan.com

I’m hugely biased because Brendan is my best friend, best man at my wedding, co-author of a book with me, etc. etc.
But he really writes a great political blog from the perspective of a political scientist who trains his analytical eye on politics and the mass media in a very accessible way.
