I think there’s a behind the scenes joke going on.
(my guess… the producer is making them wear the jackets and they don’t want to wear them, so she’s getting an on-air jab at the boss)

It’s that momentary pause and straight face on the guy before he cracks up that really “sets up” the humor of the whole thing.
Never has so much attention been given to such an obscure event…but inexplicably, it’s worth it! Will go back to this a few times today.
