For those of you who don’t like Pride and Prejudice, does this help?
Like this post?
Now available: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
It “features the original text of Jane Austen’s beloved novel with all-new…bone-crunching zombie action.”
* * * * *

I have to get this.
[...] and Prejudice and Zombies Now this is extraordinary! (H/T: Abraham Piper) The product description on Amazon says: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text [...]
Weird! But probably makes it more interesting to guys
HA!! That is amazing!
Now how do we get that on high school reading lists all across America?
Rushing out to the bookstore now ;)
I smell a series….classics + zombies is always a winner.
I bought and read the Zombie version. It isn’t that good, in my opinion. If you’re going to add zombies to a classic then it should be more humorous than it turned out – it was quite funny in places, but overall it wasn’t that interesting.
That sounds absolutely horrible.
And has that smiley face in the top right corner of your website always been there?!?
i read your blog, but never comment. this, however, is hilarious.
I like Pride and Prejudice. I also like zombies. I am certain this book, along with my Zombie Survival Guide (a real book by Max Brooks) will help me be even more prepared for the coming zombie invasion. :-)
I, like gina, also read but never comment. I can can resist no longer.
As any true Austenite would say, I thought zombies were the only ones who didn’t like Pride and Prejudice. I’m thrilled that now, they too can partake of the pleasures to be found in those pages.
I’ve just received my copy in the mail.
“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains.”
ahahaha
I actually like Jane Austin, but I think I’ll like this even more.
If only I hadn’t just bought some books…this one’s on the wish list now.
the problem with pride and prejudice is its predictability. i don’t think even zombies could fix that.
Some people don’t like Pride and Prejudice??!!
Biz,
If you didn’t like P and P, read Austen’s other novels (Mansfield Park is actually my favorite- time to reread that…) or Thomas Hardy and see what you think. Hardy is a favorite of mine. Tess of the D’ubervilles and Return of the Native top my list of Hardy novels that counter the cheery predictability of Austen that people love (myself included). Hardy wrote later in the 19th C. than Jane Austen.
I take this as just on the verge of blasphemy. ;) haha…I must admit it would be an interesting read.
I liked it better when I didn’t know there was a whole category of books called “zombie literature.”
I watched “Night of the Living Dead” about 30 years ago with my brothers and still haven’t quite gotten over it. Bleah.
I also read your blog but haven’t commented until now, though I’ve wanted to several times before. Funny how zombies & P and P pushed me over the edge into commenting.
I agree with Hannah…zombies with Austen? Boo! Actually, I’d kind of like to see how they interact with Mr. Collins. :0)
