Okay, that review totally sold me on this book.

The front cover has all of the elements T.A. mentions, too. Love it.

A good review. Though, it’s an unusual context in which to use the word “phenotype”. That word has specifically genetic connotations, and I don’t imagine that your Mom meant to imply the genetic sequence (the genotype, if you will) of her illustrated characters. But, if more people are learning genetics terminology due to his post, so much the better!

I’m glad I caught this post – I bought my mom a couple of your mom’s books a short while ago (amazing!) but didn’t know about this one. My nieces are in for a treat! :D
