I’d have to differ with Einstein there. We avoided war with the Soviet Union precisely by our military build-up. “Peace through strength.” And the cold war came to and end without a single shot being fired.
Of course, we weren’t preparing for an offensive. So that might not be the kind of thing he was talking about.
Jesus was killed because he was a troublemaker. It had nothing to do with a scheme for life after death.
