The simplest (albeit least subtle) way to get something is to just ask, right?
Like this post?
If you don’t already, do you want to subscribe to 22 Words?
You can do so via RSS or email.
Thank you!

I do subscribe, thanks for asking.
Would you be interested in reading my blog @ ?
why do you want us to subscribe? (I already do, but am curious why you would ask twice.)
Twice? I’ve probably asked a dozen times. :)
Each time it is for those who are new or who don’t know what subscribing is.
It’s hard for internet-savvy folks to imagine that there are non-RSS users out there, but they’re out there by the droves. I think it’s helpful (for them and me) to tell them about it every once in awhile.
Does that answer your question? Not sure.
I think your your blog is perfect to read in an RSS reader: text only usually), concise. Here’s a question for you? What reader do most people use to subscribe to 22 words? I use Netvibes.
Most people use Google Reader.
I have you on my blog roll, which is how I keep up with the blogs I read on a regular basis…rather than in a separate application like Google Reader. From yours I can jump to your wife’s (which is how I ended up on yours…through (in)courage mentioning her) and your father’s.
I used to use my blog roll, but Google Reader is MUCH more efficient. I wouldn’t have used it if Molly/Abraham hadn’t posted the how-to. It takes 90 seconds to set up and it keeps you from checking blogs that have no new posts.
gotcha on google reader here too.
I just got back from vacation and have a very stupid question to ask. Let me preface this by saying that apparently I am not internet savvy at all and have never subscribed to any blogs. Because you update your site at least once a day, and b/c all I have to do is type in “twe” before Google fills in the rest and takes me to your site, why would I subscribe? It seems as though this is quick enough. Am I completely missing something? I can see the point with blogs that are not updated regularly, but with your blog? Plus, I have the added bonus of seeing if Molly has updated her blog by scanning your side bar.
Thanks for mentioning. I somehow had never got around to adding you to my reader.
Thanks for the information on Google Reader, I had no clue about it. It is absolutely amazing! It saves me precious time!
P.S. I made sure my comment was 22 words. :)
