Recorded music is significantly less spiritual than live music…and that can be a good thing.
When Rob Zombie came on the radio out of nowhere I thought, “Interesting sound. I’m sure glad I’m not at a concert.”

Forty years ago there was a band, the zombies. The keyboard player was named rod. The hair was much shorter.
I went to a concert in college and remember being significantly freaked out by the opening death metal band, Morbid Angel. It was very spiritual.
Scary!
That poor man is frighteningly spiritual.
He looks unhappy.
Would you believe I thought Rob Zombie was dreamy fifteen years ago? Yuck! I just listened to some of his old songs on youtube and was shocked by what I was hearing. And I knew every lyric by heart. I had to turn it off when my four-year-old walked in the room because I didn’t want to scare him. What a reminder of where God found me. Thank you Jesus!
The first part of your post is a tremendous statement, and something I believe wholeheartedly. If I put a “worship cd” on, and walk out of the room, is it still worshiping?
Never trust a man with fingers that long.
Excellent observation. This is exactly why television church, internet church, .mp3 church, and every other form of virtual church is inferior to real church.
