That is EXACTLY the feeling (when my Number One Son dons such things)!
…oooh it’s kind of a creepy, cringing feeling that I try to assuage by saying to myself, “He’s innocent of the connotations, he’s innocent of the connotations, he’s innoce….”
I seriously can’t stop laughing about that picture. I don’t think it would be nearly as funny without the boot/short-jeans combo. Plus, he looks so happy and proud to be in that outfit.
I’m with Mom. You gotta have those short pants to show off those great boots; otherwise, it’s a waste. I just think he is absolutely adorable!! So proud of his get-up!
Maybe he was passive-aggressively trying to tell his mother not to go on her Compassion International trip. Can’t blame the kid for wanting his mommy to stay home.
Oh, and Molly would like everyone to know she didn’t buy any of this stuff for him.
Exactly why I cringe at the end of June when relatives hit up Old Navy for patriotic clothing.
We end up getting “gifts” that we’d rather not wear.
Wait now, Short Jeans is right wing?
I mean dark and unfashionable, yes.
In my experience, yes. Unless, of course, they’re short because of being cuffed. That could be pretty liberal.
At least the shirt isn’t one of those JiMB shirts:)

(and, like Molly, I am innocent of the purchase!)
I see nothing wrong with this glorious example of Orison Couture.
Wow, so it must be raining out of the darkest black cloud EVER when I’m at your place.
Perhaps. But remember how you and me feel about that kind of weather. Solidarity!
Let him wear the outfit a few days without washing it and it will soon be plenty left wing.
Ha! Indeed.
Reminds me of some pictures of my boys ;)
My 6-year-old completely infuriated my husband by announcing that when he’s “Governor of the World” he’s banning “wine and cigars.”
This from a child whose grandfather worked for Miller Brewing for 15 years….
At least he’s not rocking the mullet/rat tail look. Yet.
or cut off blue jean shorts…

Left over cowboy zeal from Halloween?
Whoops. “Leftover” zeal.
Well, I mean, really. How can anyone appreciate his boots if the jeans are long enough??
As a mom of four boys myself, I can fully appreciate this thinking … of course that’s why he wore them that way!
That is maybe the best title i have ever read!

That’s a cute little shaver, you got there, Mr. Piper! :)
He was so proud of himself! I think he’s ready for Kindergarten now. LOL
So if he dresses in things other that “patriotic” and “country”, is that the light, fashionalbe, left wing hanging over your house?
Maybe he was passive-aggressively trying to tell his mother not to go on her Compassion International trip. Can’t blame the kid for wanting his mommy to stay home.
