I like this a lot, but it never happens (with me). I love the folks who read my blog, they are so nice, but part of the reason I started posting photos was to see if I could become a better photographer. Everyone is always so nice saying “I love this” or “this is great” – sometimes I wish for, ” did you ever think of trying this off center”, or “try this speed” etc…
I guess there are groups for that I just haven’t found them yet.
I know it must be awkward – cause sometimes I think that about saying something like that about someone else’s photo (like the meme things) but I am afraid I will offend them if I comment in such a way.
Re-post on their own blog something that inspired them from a blog they subscribe to.
Link (if you have a blog)
Take them to lunch, and try to get to know them as a person.
Tweet a link to their post with a sentence that jumped out at you to pique peoples’ interest.
Count the words in their post every single time hoping to catch them at 23.
Click through the sponsor ads.
I’m glad I clicked through to the website, and glad that I clicked on the sponsor ads – Crave something more is awesome.
Do bloggers know when their posts are posted on Facebook or Twitter? If not, there should be!
I hate subscribing to blogs, and RSS in general. There’s so much content in the world that the last thing I need is for it to be aggressively pushed at me as soon as it’s available. I want to read it on my own schedule, whenever I’m ready.
Amen. From the moment I tried RSS I started ignoring it. I hate being told what to do.
I like subscribing to blogs, because otherwise I wouldn’t check them. However, commenting is not always my favorite. It kinda feels like I am talking out into cyberspace with no interaction back. I guess I’m not controversial enough to cause other Commenters to say stuff back?
hmmm…i’ll work on that…
Here’s a comment back just for you Melissa.
Amazing! I never realized I could click through from the reader and comment. You can teach an old dog new tricks!
Commenting is a big one. Its strange knowing that there is definitely people out there somewhere reading it but having no idea who it is or what they think.
Let’s face it, most bloggers just want attention. It’s rather self-involved, “look at me”, look how____(smart, genuine, etc.) I am. Give me a break.
Commenting would be nice.
Jim, I so totally disagree. I hope my blog encourages more then anything.
Comment…like you mean it, not just to be linked to your own blog.
