How to add a link in a comment. (And a place to practice your new skill shame-free.)

To insert a link in your comment, type

words you’re linking

Feel free to experiment on this post.

Update: Tweaked for clarity…I hope. My inarticulate use of brackets was causing confusion, I think.

(especially for Jennapants and Kevin Ring)

OK, I’m going to go first to make sure I told the truth:

What I want for Christmas…just kidding.

I wanted to reference Porky Pig’s Blue Christmas back when you asked about obscure Christmas music , but was afraid it might be too popular to count as obscure.

Plus, I was too busy enjoying all the links to good (in most cases, anyway) Christmas music.

So when are you going to ask your readers about their favorite Christmas traditions? I think something along that lines would be a lot of fun!

One of the sites I use frequently: Bible Gateway

If you’re using Internet Explorer 7 (or 8?), you can also add BibleGateway as a Search Provider for quick passage lookup from the built-in Search toolbar.

Hmmm. I just posted a link to http://www.flickr.com/photos/caughtnottaught/show/ , but it hasn’t appeared yet… Has my link gone straight into your SPAM bin? (Probably the safest place for it.)

Thank you fellow commenters for validating my previous difficulty explaining this in the comment field.

And thank you Abraham for only subtly drawing attention to my ineptitude rather than lambasting me.
