Is that word pronounced /neesh/ or /nitch/? I’ve always wondered…
I was going to say “neesh” because that’s the way I would do it using a combination of German/British English/French background knowledge, but according to Wiktionary, you seem to have a choice in American English (both the alternatives you said are possible):

Don’t know if you’ll read this or not but when i clicked the link I got a warning about the new site that said –warning maliscous web site–don’t enter personal info. Anyone else have this problem? And Molly if you read this I’m not joking, thats what it said
