Knit me some punk, baby!

Molly’s a knitter and I’m learning to be punk, so….

This is the only sensible outcome, no?

That is the most awesome thing that I would never, ever wear.

They were wearing this kind of stuff at the Maker’s Faire this weekend. A really, really cool DIY event. Inspiring for the kids.

And I had a free knitting class, got lots of hope that I may be able to make my husband this oufit in time for his birthday next year. I learned how to control the yarn tension, at last.

That is some beautiful knit work, but better that you take punk lessons elsewhere I think! Maybe it would look better in size 0-3 months and on a wee babe minus the mask and grass head hair, but maybe not.
This sweater tweaks the image I’ve always had when listening to “All I want” by Joni Mitchell:
“I want to knit you a sweater
Want to write you a love letter
I want to make you feel better
I want to make you feel free”

Talk about color coordination. This man is more colorful than a rainbow.

That WOULD be a labor of love….I guess!

I am in apparel design. I just had a long day, and this picture just made that day. I also just read your bit about how some people have told you they think the stuff you post is trivial. It isn’t. If it is good or beautiful or interesting or productively informative or just really good goofy, it’s worth the time. Thanks for stimulating the ol’ synapses. Keep it up.
