Surely you’ve seen Bill Safire’s “fumblerules” at some point? This is the last of them.

You know, “at the end of the day” I really hate them…in fact, I have loathed them “from day one”.
They drive me up the wall!
Moving forward, now that we’re all on the same page, we should give cliche-avoidance 110%.
