What a boy will do to impress some girls…
That laughing little girl has no soul.
Yeah, wow — I’d never consider my overly empathetic before this, but I want to slap those girls. Stupid or not, that’s some intense pain.
I really hope he realizes those people are not his friends. WOW.
Come on! It was funny and he chose to do it.
He got exactly the reaction he wanted.
Maybe I’m just being defensive because I’d laugh if my friend said “Hey, watch me eat the hottest pepper in the world.”
It’s okay, it only burns twice.
The second burn probably wasn’t any more fun for the poor guy.
I had the exact same thought… Poor dude. But, yes, hilarious, too.
EAT THE BREAD EAT THE BREAD EAT THE BREAD EAT THE BREAD!!!
My exact thought. Eat the bread, drink the milk and don’t stop for all this moaning and groaning. Eventually it will wash away the oil.
My husband Eric, being a hot sauce snob, gets all sorts of hot sauces from my parents. They’re always on a quest for the hottest stuff they can find. Last year he was given a bottle of Dave’s Reserve Hot Sauce, and one of the ingredients included jolokia peppers.
It’s pretty good, nice and fruity along with the heat–but you definitely only need a drop or two in a the chili pot! And God help you if you make the horrible mistake of twisting the cap off and then forgetting you touched it, and rubbing your eye. (I speak, unfortunately, from experience…)
But Eric wants the full deal. He’s seen every video of some poor schlub eating bhut jolokias and it still won’t sway him from his desire to scarf one down. I wanna track down some of the actual peppers and give them to him as a gift. (And then I’ll put 911 on speed dial, just in case…)
Wuss. ;-)
I ditto what the first commenter said.
Teenagers.
Psh.
He’s going to throw up from all the milk he’s drinking (I’m clearly still watching it.)
Those girls are so annoying. 10 years from now he should show up while they are in labor and laugh.
Wow, that was kind of fierce of me…
This wins the award for best comment. :-D
The truth is, his face reminded me of what being in labor felt like… thus the comment. :-P
Agreed. Genius!
this IS a pretty funny comment. :)
Don’t chew it up, just swallow it!
Exactly. I watched him chewing it up and my first thought was “Ah, the inexperience of the young.”
Nice one! He did it voluntarily so there’s no shame in laughing (that’s what I’ll tell myself anyway).
If you want to see a similar video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHnnik8F3RQ but this one wasn’t so voluntary.
I’d do it myself if I could ever get a hold of one of those things. Nice, work, dude!
I didn’t find the video funny at ALL. I not only felt badly for the kid, but I also felt angry at his so-called “friends” (or are they siblings or cousins?–even worse!). First of all, they talked him into doing something stupid (and, yes, he was very foolish in complying), and then they sit there laughing at him in his pain…while they film it. But, maybe that’s just the protective parent in me. Those kids seem to be about the same age as my children.
The friends enjoyed it, but it’s pretty clear from the end of the video that he was the writer and director of this epic film.
I guess I’m “overly empathetic” after all. Sorry.
A good problem to have… :)
For what it’s worth, I think this video is far more enjoyable at less than half the time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veocNAMozyU&feature=related
Sounded like his mom was there…”go get your t-shirt and basketball shoes…” She didn’t want this event to make them late for practice!!
