I usually leave my grenades on the dresser not on the night stand right next to my bed though…the wife just gets a little nervous they may fall off in the middle of the night…
Seriously though, the first thing I thought of was Band of Brothers and how honorable their serious was. Just like Kaye, when I’m done watching an episode, which is only a glimpse of what it must have actually been like, it puts my little sufferings into perspectives. It doesn’t invalidate them, just puts them in perspective and helps me deal more like a man.
