In nutrition, the Calorie (capital C) is actually 1 kilocalorie or 1000 calories (1 calorie is the amount of heat needed to increase 1 gram of water by 1 °C – blah, blah). Therfore based on a 2000 Calorie diet, it would follow that a single Calorie would be 1000 units of shame. Wahh, wahhh!
