    I actually remember learning this word in school, we were taught that appropriate is a synonym. The s is silent, so you pronounce it ap-ro-po. Which is helpful in remembering when it is ap-ro-po…priate to use!

    But I was terrible in English, so check your facts. The synonym feature in Word didn’t agree with my 8th grade teacher so…who knows!
