Big Minneapolis Love Power Jesus Mural (and the 2007 bridge collapse)
I grew up seeing this so often I thought it was normal…
This mural is at Washington Ave and 35W, very close to where the bridge collapsed back in 2007.
The proximity of this Christ to that catastrophe motivated this painting by WTF Painter Dan Lacey…

It is normal.
That mural rocks in full sunlight! There used to be a mural that I also really liked just off of Franklin where you head North to get onto 35/94 on the East side of Franklin bridge that crosses over 35W.
this is literally the greatest thing ever. Every time I drive past this I laugh. Does this church exist anymore slash has anyone actually tried going to it?
we call him “hippie peasant Jesus with product in his hair”
