    I was just thinking about the story “The Princess and the Pea” the other day.
    Thank you for sharing this illustrated “visual”!! The colors make it come “alive” and I like the fact that thier are candels in the left corner of the illustration.

      Good catch, Anna, noticing those candles. I didn’t see those at first–and I like how they suggest she’s that far above chandelier-height. That’s a heck of a bed!

    I’ve always loved this illustration. You can really see the exhaustion and frustration in her face. So tired, yet unable to sleeeeeeeep!
