Sounds like your typical 2011 relationship. Girl hits on guy, guy and girl shack up before getting married. Clever invitation, but in a way it’s a bit sad. Kind of like divorce “parties”
Did you actually read the invite? They were in a long distance relationship, then she moved to New York. It didn’t say that she lived with him anywhere in there.
Is there something wrong with cohabitation? What about people who have no intention of getting married? I’ve known people who’ve dated for over 10 years with no intent towards marriage. They just don’t believe in it. My fiance and I have been living together for most of our 5-year relationship. What exactly is ‘sad’ about any of this? We’re happy and we know that we can put up with one another all without risking a lengthy divorce process. Yeah. Don’t see the sad part at all.
I agree with you and him both. If that were me and my boyfriend it prob wouldn’t even be couch sleeping, just a hotel or a friends or parents. For us being asleep in the same room can lead to lustful kissing unless someone else is in there sleeping as well. So we just put up strict restrictions and read our Bibles and pray together to keep from that. I can’t wait to be married :) and yes the invitation is the cutest and sweetest thing ever but I do still agree with them
i take offense to that. I wasn’t attempting to pretend to be “morally superior”-just an observation, which is in fact the reality. But I guess people should censor their comments so they don’t offend anyone.
Used a similar concept for my engagement. http://www.youtube.com/jroniusvideos
Good call on the headline… the back-and-forth nature of the narrative is good, but the closing is awesome.
That’s a great video! Cute idea.
And love the invite above, too.
The typography sells it!

Shack up? Where are you getting that from? Not that it matters.
I wish this blog had a door so I could kindly ask people to leave their over-confident sense of moral superiority there.
Yeah, could we perhaps be happy for them?

I think j is worried about the fact that in all their travels back and forth, no mention is made of couch-sleeping or a hotel for the visiting party.
which you probably wouldn’t put on a cute wedding invitation…
No kidding. There’s really no reasonable explanation for J. Though Anna is nice for trying.

No, that is as long as your intent is to not offend anyone. But, if your intent is to offend then yes you should not say it. :)
gives me hope for my long distance relationship
That’s adorable.
