Hopefully, the video I added will clarify…
I actually have one of these… they’re pretty useless, but cool to have around anyway.
Am I the only one who thought that was a totally unhelpful “how this works” video?
I think the most helpful thing about this video was to let us know what the sound is that the process makes. I bet all the employees have a hard time not just gaping at the machine in a trance.
I thought it was a great video. If you are an engineer or in the manufacturing industry you would probably find it more interesting. I’m going to post the video on my industry blog for my customer base. Thanks!

The great thing is put them in boiling water and they will return to that. (I’ve never tested it with a 2 litre bottle, but did it several times with a 330/500ml bottle as a child).
The small vial looks like the vials that White Labs uses. White Labs produces liquid yeast strains for beer and wine making.
