Most of the world is probably still fairly ambivalent about genocide let alone gallinicide. Someday we’ll get there.
My only comment, or question rather, is, why are those people in the 1847 painting sitting so close to the fighting cocks, and why are they nude? I’ve never, nor ever plan to, attend a cock fight, but I imagine that I would, first want to wear clothing, and second not want to sit that close. Just curious.
I used to have students in my Bible class that had cockfighting pictures plastered all over their notebooks. It was legal in the next state over, and they’d go on weekends (or so they told me).
