Bra holster conceals gun but can be drawn and shot in under 1.5 seconds
I can think of reasons this is silly, scary, stupid, and smart… What do you think?

Winning YouTube comment:
I don’t think every woman should have one of these, but I think every guy should think they do.

That looks uncomfortable
But it makes her chesties lopsided…
that’s pretty cool
When you’re a lean gal and wear fitted clothes, it’s hard to conceal a pistol without using a very small caliber. Though you’d still need a really small gun for this. I think I’m good keeping my Kahr CW9 in my purse. :-)
Isn’t your purse the first thing most criminals would grab?
Sooooo..I wonder if it can be drawn quicker from a woman who isn’t quite so well endowed?
I’m harkened back to the scene in Austin Powers when he remarks that the fembots have smoke coming out of their jumblies.
I think it’s awesome. Yes, I think it would be good to do some training before you wear it so that you don’t shoot yourself in the chest trying to unholster it, which could be an issue. But as a girl with zero self-defense training, I would appreciate having something like this if I were living or working in a sketchy area.
Also, it would just make me feel like the coolest girl around, because I have a gun in my bra.
Ditto this. Even if I’m not big on guns.
I would keep it holstered with the SAFETY ON for sure!! Flicking the safety off takes less than a second and most of the time you probably wouldn’t even need to fire if you were using this for self defense (and I can’t think of any other reason to have a bra holster). Usually just showing the gun will make an attacker think twice.
You never pull a gun without intent to fire! NEVER!!
Man, this makes the boot knife look so lame.
questioning this whole post, I did not think watching this video was a good idea . . . ya know bra, gun, women who are well endowed? Is this just an attempt to see some “good stuff” without a filter grabbing it?
Zeek…..seriously?
Grammar geek here, laughing at them for their doofy dangling modifiers before even getting to the whole gun thing: “With less than 5 minutes instruction and practice, we shot these videos.” My, aren’t you fellows bright! It looks like you have at least, oh, half an hour of practice shooting videos!
But seriously, I thought of the danger of shooting oneself in the chest while drawing the gun, too. Or, say, you run into an old friend who hasn’t seen you in years, and she gives you a big spontaneous hug . . .
dianne, it’s IN a holster. a hug isn’t going to cause a ND.
and thats the whole point of training.
If only every person who carried a gun had training, and lots of it. (More than “5 minutes” ;-) )
the reason she took a moment before firing… flipping safety off.
No need to exclude the fellas, y’know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfONNfAjyrc
ahh the bro! nice.
Nick, YES, serious
A premature misfire would be tragic in this case.
Agreed. She covers her arm in the draw–very dangerous.
Zeek, I’m with you. Posts like this are in poor taste.
Amen zeek and Scottg! This kind of thing is not protecting a woman’s “honor”. It brings Matthew 18: 7-9 to mind. This may not be called a Christian blog, but a Christian man should still have boundaries. This crosses the line.
Zeek, Scott, kat,
Their really was absolutely no objectionable content in the video.
I guess the subject is a little, well, awkward, but honestly, I’m glad to know something like this is out there. When I end up buying a handgun for myself, I’m going to have to figure out how to carry it, and generally it’s a heck of a lot easier for a man to conceal a weapon on his person than for a woman.
I don’t know about y’all, but I think that women having effective ways of protecting themselves against assailants is very much in keeping with preserving their “honor”.
sarahanne
I agree women should be well versed in how to protect themselves, I just think there are ways and places to do it that won’t be an opportunity for creating misunderstanding. Telling about it is one thing, showing us is another.
if you want the gun you are carrying to be effective at deterring crime then carry UNCONCEALED, kind of like car thieves walking past the cars that have “the club” . . . they can clearly see the car is protected. Kat, well said glad your brought God’s word in . . .
it isn’t about crime deterrence, but about self protection, and carrying unconcealed can invite more trouble than you would believe. From both perps and cops.
As a modest christian woman I saw nothing wrong with this video, the holster hangs at such a point that there would be absolutely no reason to lift your shirt above your bellybutton. Also, since when one is carrying concealed, the point is to KEEP IT CONCEALED until the last possible moment, one would not be running around with their shirt up or boobs hanging out just to show off their new holster.
As for her endowment, that was a comment made from a technical standpoint, not a carnal one. And no, as the holster hangs far enough below the breasts I do not think that a larger woman would have more difficulty, nor a smaller woman more ease. Perhaps the tightness of the shirt might make a difference.
Zeek, Scott, Kat; did any of you actually WATCH the video? There is absolutely nothing offensive. She’s not grabbing at her boobs or showing anything whatsoever. You barely even see her belly. As a moral, Christian woman, I believe that this is a good way to conceal a pistol, albeit a small one, since you can’t even tell she’s packing under her shirt. If you mean that they are making the focus on her breasts, that is NOT the case. The focus here is, throughout the video, the weapon and the concealment thereof, and ease of use when necessary. And when you’re being mugged, raped, or otherwise attacked, your purse isn’t necessarily handily within reach and a gun or weapon could be hard to remove with as little effort as this shooter has.
I think Stephanie’s points are valid regarding the comments to the shooter’s “size” as well… it was a technical question. I understand your objections, but there simply is nothing immodest or “misleading” in any way about this holster. As Stephanie said, no one is going to walk around in a skin tight shirt revealing their holster since the point of a concealed weapon is to keep it hidden until drawn. If anything, this kind of holster would encourage more modesty. The wearer isn’t going to let anyone else draw her gun for her, and drawing it does not require undressing or any sort of inappropriate actions.
Well…it would be a very temporary thrill for the bad guy as you had to loft your shirt half way up to get at your pistol
For all of the safety commenters: this particular firearm, the Ruger LCP, has no safety and cannot fire without the trigger being pulled. No one puts their finger on the trigger when pulling from a holster except Barney Fife.
It should also be said that her shooting stance is terrible. you aren’t gonna hit any target shooting from your hip, take the extra half a second to hold and aim it properly!
I think they are imagining a mugging, not a gunfight.
