If I recall my Comic book knowledge, Robin has been around much longer than batgirl; thus, they shouldn’t be payed the same: Robin has had far more opportunities to show his dependability and faithfulness. He should be payed more based on seniority not gender.
Is that not dynamite that the alarm clock is attached to – Batgirl will perish if she’s still going on about wages when it explodes (and why doesn’t it when the alarm clock rings). Untie Batman (and Robin if your mood takes you) and get out of there you eijit!
Perhaps Batgirl gets paid less as she doesn’t deserve the money, being terrible at her job?
