Operation Mend is a collaboration between UCLA Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas. The goal is to treat severely injured U.S. military personnel wounded during service in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The surgeries are led by Timothy A. Miller, Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA, who is also a military veteran.
