Pigeons leave thousands of tracks in wet cement
From the January 17, 1956 Los Angeles Times…
The moment cement workers turned their backs yesterday after laying new sidewalk at 4th St. and Grand Ave., where pigeons are accustomed to feed, the pigeons came back. Here’s pictorial proof that a bunch of angry, parading pigeons can really stay wheels of progress.

The original Angry Birds.
Maybe they’re all writing their initials, but we can’t tell because they look the same to us. :)
Or perhaps it’s a secret message intended for aliens that can only be read properly from outer space. :)
What if the cement dries on their feet? Will they be grounded for life? =D
Maybe it should be thought of as found art?
It would cost triple to get a custom artsy concrete stamp to imprint that nature theme. They got it cheap as free.
If concrete were not so soft, I would get excited over the thought of these bird tracks fossilizing, and being found millions of years later. And here we are, seeing the photograph of the exact moment the tracks were made!
