Virtual super market at a subway stop…Buy your groceries with your phone

Tesco has bought the advertising space in at least one South Korean subway station and set up a virtual grocery store. Shoppers scan the QR codes by the items they want and their order will be delivered that day.

Of course, anyone with a smart phone can shop online anytime whether they’re at the subway or not, so this is somewhat gimmicky. But who cares, it’s fun!

A poignant illustration that advertising is about awareness rather than access. And I like how there’s a lot of redundancy–waste of space or effective simulation?

I would love to have it delivered. Getting tired of going to the grocery store.
