Such an ordinary object, yet so disturbingly presented…

Looks like something growing on someone’s back.
I want to see it talk. Yes, see it.
could’ve at least used a pretty face
define “normal”
There’s nothing normal about those sideburn/beard wisps.
This is exactly how character faces are stored for computer games. The game then wraps the image around the 3D head.
Perhaps that’s why I don’t find it too odd to look at.
I was thinking the same thing.
I first remember seeing these for Quake 2 skins in jr. high school, and the tech probably existed well before that.
Kinda of reminds me of Lady Cassandra O’Brien.Δ17 the last human from Dr. Who.
THANK YOU! I was wondering how it was possible that no one had already made this observation!
Moisturize me!
Don’t you hate when you have an incredible thought, then read the comments and find others had the same thought over 18 months earlier?
So, clearly, this is a wordy way of saying, “Me, too.”
Can you imagine putting a key under this door mat and it saying thank you!
Who volunteered for this?
That guy.
I did this 5 years ago as one of my first pieces, it’s the portraiture page @ http://www.tcphotographic.co.uk If anyone want’s a personal one drop me an email.
LOL any one who does humanoid characters in 3d modeling should be quite used to this kind of image. XD Tpages ftw!
Looks like a texture map to me.
