Useless and flimsy, yet strangely appealing…

So…if I drop my book it won’t get damaged?

  2. @NatMcIntyre says:

In what way is this better than a normal rubber band wrapped around a book?

Why do I want a rubber band around my book?

  4. You put a band around your book to protect the pages. If it falls, or is buried in your backpack, if it easily opens, the pages can get bent and damaged. This has happened to many of my books, which is why I now use bookmarks that have an elastic band that wraps around the book to keep it closed.

I want to find large rubber bands to do something similar (in aces booking, we tend to make our books really big and need a way to keep them closed)… but where can I find rubber bands about .5 inch wide? Does anyone know?

Um, what is that thing you used to poke the holes? Could I do that w/ an Xacto knife maybe?
