High school football game continues while the school is burning down

One brisk, fall afternoon in November 1965,  Northfield Mount Herman School and Deerfield Academy were playing a game of football when Northfield Mount Herman’s Silliman Hall caught on fire.

Play continued.

    Sad metaphor for the state of today’s educational system. Teachers end up buying supplies from their own pockets, but least the football team has everything they need.
