I actually took a picture of that exact same sign the last time I was at Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It was not the only weird sign a took a picture of. That place is full of crazy information.
Actually, they do – much of their waste is incorporated into their cell walls – lignin, the material that gives wood its strength, is a key part of that waste. So essentially, trees make their poop part of their height and girth and strength.
