Making the most out of your feline’s shed fur
Crafting with Cat Hair – Creepy or nifty?
Crafting with Cat Hair shows readers how to transform stray clumps of fur into soft and adorable handicrafts. From kitty tote bags and finger puppets to fluffy cat toys, picture frames, and more, these projects are cat-friendly, eco-friendly, and require no special equipment or training. You can make most of these projects in under an hour—with a little help, of course, from your feline friends!

So cute… And so useless. But the “wool” is free, soft and very clean (remind yourself of lambwool and how it feels when you stroke lambs: it’s fatty and stinks, cat hair doesn’t), so why not? xD Just have to wait for next spring as he’s not losing much atm and the brushing too has to be learned first. (For some it’s not a wonder that this comes from Japan as japanese do just everything, but indeed I have met this idea in Europe years ago, many times.)
I first thought was “well it is Japanese …” but you make a number of valid points.
This would make for a pretty crappy gift idea if you’re allergic to cats like me! LOL
Me too. My eyes started itching just reading the title.
I don’t think this is that bad. Just another way to make cute but useless things that will lie around cluttering shelves and craft rooms. Good point on the lambs wool, I have felted with wool before and it is indeed very heavy and oily. If you think about it, cashmere is simply rabbit fur, so why not make a cat fur sweater? LOL!
