    Those poor kids in the middle; they won’t be able to swing at all!

    It won’t work quite right. The kids aren’t touching, so each one would swing a bit before hitting the next kid, and some momentum would be lost. Cartoonists should just leave physics to the physicists (unless you’re Randall Munroe).

    I love this!!! Printed it for my physicist dad, who will enjoy it even if it isn’t “correct.” :) This is exactly the kind of thing he did with us when we were little…. you’ve made my day in a warm and fuzzy kind of way!
