    Wow. This is a powerful image although I’m not entirely sure what its message is.

    It kind of makes me think of the European colonization of Africa and how that really messed it up. It’s like it exploded as a result and all the European countries got out of there and pulled away from it.

    I love this painting. It doesn’t matter what the intended message was by Vincente, however, what it says to me subjectively is that this is where life began, and it is where life ends so often. Death is such an abundant motif on this continent from genocide to disease to malnutrition to corruption, yet LIFE is abundant on this continent ten fold. Not sure I’ll ever look at that continent on a map the same.
