“Don’t buy an app that has AN ugly logo”
If your grandmother could learn her grammar then I might be more apt to listen to her things she never told you. Don’t worry, I still love her.
That was bugging me too.
same
“Don’t trust all THAT you read and see in Wikipedia”
“Don’t disregard something because of a grammar mistake.”
Unless it’s misspelling “Warcraft” — because that’s just wrong.
I think that was intentional to avoid copyright infringement.
You are so smart and educated PROFESSOR!
Since the usage of “a” and “an” are sound dependent rather than function dependent, I would say that “Don’t buy an app that has a ugly logo” would be perfectly acceptable if Granny here pronounces the “u” in “ugly” with a peculiarly consonantal sound.
very good information. It will work for my research. My work on webchol is now easy. :)
Oooh, #5 reminded me that it’s time for me to head to Azeroth… And, yes, it IS addictive.
I love the old lady holding the signs. She is just standing there like WTF? Ok, whatever! Lol.
Some of us Azeroth addicts are English majors too. Just in case anyone was tempted to make some sort of bogus correlation between bad grammar and gaming. Besides, the author is (at least) bilingual, so maybe English is not his first language? Y la abuela la tiene re clara! Me encanta.
