10 mannequins striking weird and dangerous poses in public
One of sculptor Mark Jenkins’ projects is to take mannequins and place them in cities doing weird, and sometimes sort of scary stuff. The photographs leave it mostly to our imaginations how people must have reacted…

I bet the one in the lake got some negative attention…good god. That’s a little too close to home to be funny.
A little too close to home? Did you once fall in a lake or river face first with baloons tied to your pants or something? Because thats what your phrase implies
Why the hostility? I get the comment that it’s a little too close to home. I think the phrase implies that the commenter feels deeply touched/disturbed by the photograph.
