I thought ALF was a puppet, not someone in costume. Another childhood illusion shattered.
Actually, for the full body shots of ALF it’s the guy in the suit. For the close ups or pretty much any scene from the shoulders up or when he’s talking, he’s a puppet. I learned that thanks to Wikipedia.
Funny, I re-watched Alien the other night, and was wondering what the guy looked like. In the scene where Dallas was crawling in the air ducts and the alien appeared and did a little “Gotcha!” move with his hands… I facepalmed.
It kind of bums me out that with all the CGI, there will be no more mystery men in suits.
