The craziness of the Indian Rural Olympics
Every February since 1933, in the Indian village of Kila Raipur, thousands of people have gathered to watch Kila Raipur Sports — AKA, “The Rural Olympics” — in which farmers and villagers compete in many different feats of strength, skill, and endurance.
The festival includes such ordinary events as simple foot races…

But you can also find more unusual spectacles, such as people balancing plows in their mouths…

…pulling cars with their teeth…

…leaping through fiery hoops…

…standing atop two galloping horses…

…chariot racing…

…and, finally, laying down and getting run over by a tractor.

In Kentucky, we call this Tuesday.
In West Va, this is called ‘county fair’ although those cow-things don’t look nearly as feisty as ours, and they forgot the motorcycles.
