The TSA already makes people remove belts for screening. They once even made me remove my belt with a PLASTIC buckle.

    Security theater…that’s all it is.

Those have been banned for a long, long time. Police list them as a concealed weapon under the “dirk and dagger” laws (push dagger) and the TSA scans would turn it up immediately. It’s old news.

Thanks, Corban and Lyn. I never wear belts when I fly, but I’ve seen people take them off at TSA screens. Do they put them under a scan or do they manually inspect them?

@mary my belts I’ve always just tossed in the bucket that goes through the magical security machine. Never had them ask about it or seen them manually handle it but… my belts aren’t anything special.

Post a source link if you have one, I want to know where to get that!
