Old bridge across the Ohio River blown up with 153 pounds of explosives

The Fort Steuben Bridge began its career carrying travelers over the Ohio River between Steubenville, Ohio and Weirton, West Virginia in 1929 and retired in 2009. Since then, it has waited in continuing disrepair for its spectacular demise, which took place Tuesday morning when it was demolished with 153 pounds of explosives…

        As an individual that works in the construction industry – I’m amazed that environmental agencies approved this!

        Or maybe this part of the river is already so heavily polluted it wouldn’t mater, because there was no aqueduct life to start with.
