Wildlife photographer tells the sweet story of meeting a lioness face to face
National Geographic photographer Mattias Klum talks about an interaction he had with a lioness in the wild…
This animal gives me this experience that’s both damn scary [and] truly, truly beautiful.

Awesome! I always wanted to be a national geographic photographer
wonderful talk about communing with Nature! What he said about being in a situation where he has no where to run or hide and being a peaceful soul instead of Tarzan is fantastic…I had a similar experience sailing alone hundreds of miles out to sea in the Atlantic while going through a gale storm…one just has to be in the moment with respect of what is in front of you. Facing a Fear and adapting to it while feeling very small indeed. :)
I’m the type that would have tried to pet her. Yeah, probably a good thing I’m not a wildlife photographer.
” take a picture, save our species…” <3
